Of Flowers and Of Ardor

This flower grows beside the river Ardency
Beauteous, blue, and bright
Her petals unreachable and rare
A radiant blossom reaching splendorously
Toward the brilliant sunburst

One drop, fatefully fallen
Upon the longing stream
Set its course ablaze with ardor
A burning brook, blazing brightly
Ravished by the fire of heaven

The river’s run now arduous
Flowing toward an unseen sea
An infinite deep its flame might quench
Across the desert lone and vast
Its beds evaporate and thirst

Beneath the bluest waters
The river yearns for the deep blue dome
Yet cannot view that glorious arc
Without gazing upon the flower Ardent
Beauteous, blue, and bright
Beneath the burning heaven
